Riis Park Beach Bazaar and Wildfeast Foods have announced the opening of the Wildfeast at Riis restaurant and bar, a collaboration between the two located at 157 Rockaway Beach Blvd. within the iconic pavilion currently housing a food court. The location will be the first brick-and-mortar site for Wildfeast, a specialty caterer known for its 1-acre farm, locally sourced seafood and pastured meats.
Wildfeast at Riis is set to celebrate its grand opening on Oct. 10 and 11 during a two-day Oktoberfest.
The restaurant’s starting hours will be 3 to 10 p.m. on Monday, Thursday and Friday, as well as Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. bunch paired with football and other televised sports. Weekend brunch will include free-range chicken and duck eggs, sweet potato waffles, house-made scones and a traditional Irish breakfast. Riis Park Beach Bazaar will also expand the current bar at the Art Deco Bay 9 pavilion and operate Riis Point, a sports-themed bar featuring multiple flat-screen televisions showing all kinds of sports. The bar will also have performances by artists and feature craft cocktails.
Parking is free and other activities currently in the works for the upcoming months include a Halloween concert, pumpkin carving contests, farmers markets, crab boils, a Harvest Festival and more. (From Queens Courier)
